I used MobiOne by GENUITEC to design and build the apps you see below.

 

What is MobiOne?

 

MobiOne Studio is an advanced cross-platform mobile software development environment for creating both native iOS and Android applications, as well as optimized mobile web apps. MobiOne runs on your Windows system and provides a cool drag-n-drop WYSIWYG interface for creating multi-page applications in minutes.

 

MobiOne Studio has something for everyone. We have seen it adopted by CIOs, marketing executives and advertising creatives, UX designers, mobile developers and testers, corporate trainers and education professionals.

 

You don't have to be a developer to create an app using MobiOne Studio. However, for more complex, data manipulation applications, programming skills will be required. But, the good news is the MobiOne programming model is based on the web programming model and uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript for customization. So, you can easily find cost-effect resources to assist in your app development or you can search the web for high-quality snippets of code that can be adapted to fit your solution.

 

The types of apps that can be created are based on the skill level of individuals or teams using MobiOne:

Little or no programming skills - Design web apps or native iOS or Android apps to create a mobile presence. Use the Visual Designer to design your screens, and let MobiOne generate all the code for you.

 

Proficiency with HTML5, JavaScript, and JQuery - Design apps using Design Center, and let MobiOne generate the UI code. Then, add your own JavaScript/JQuery code to add additional operations and functions that cause the app to "do something."

Understanding of back-end technology - Design more complex applications that connect with database servers for loading, using, and storing data.

 

It is also possible to design and code HTML5 mobile applications using a different development environment, and then open them in the Mobile Web Simulator for testing or presentation.

MobiOne Studio consists of a Design Center, Mobile Web Simulator, and an App Center server, which allows you to test designs on your devices and build native apps for iOS and Android. Design Center makes designing easy with a palette of widgets that you drag into the Visual Designer, and each widget has a set of properties for customizing the style, as well as behaviors.

 

As you design apps, test them in the Mobile Web Simulator, which contains various iOS and Android device emulators. The emulators allow you to see how your design will look and work on the target device(s). We recognize you might have mobile applications coded using other means, such as in an Eclipse environment. Using the Mobile Web Simulator, you can test those mobile web applications to see how they run on the various devices supported by MobiOne.

 

Design Center provides source code editors for adding custom JavaScript to the code generated from Design Center's app generator. Using the Mobile Web Simulator, you can test forms and resource requests from remote servers and leverage the Chrome Developer Tools for inspecting, debugging, and profiling your web app. In Design Center, generate a mobile web app from your design by publishing to App Center. By doing so, you can test your web app on actual devices

If your goal is to deploy a native iOS or Android application, use Design Center's app builder wizards to build your Design Center design into a native application that can be distributed through Apple's App Store or Android Marketplaces.

Note: Web applications coded in an environment other than MobiOne Studio can be tested in the Mobile Web Simulator, but cannot be uploaded to App Center as a web application or built into an iOS or Android app.
